01What is a sworn or certified translation in Croatia?
It is a translation certified by a Croatian court-appointed interpreter, who confirms by certification, signature and seal that the translation corresponds to the attached source document or copy.
02Can I request a quote without visiting the office?
Yes. A complete and legible scan is normally sufficient for a quote. Depending on the document and its intended use, the original may still be required before the certified translation is issued.
03Will a Croatian certified translation be accepted abroad?
Acceptance is determined by the authority receiving the document. Before ordering, ask whether it requires a Croatian certified translation, an original document, an apostille or another form of legalisation.
04Do you provide urgent certified translations?
Urgent work may be available depending on language, volume and certification requirements. Upload the document and state the exact deadline so availability and any express surcharge can be confirmed in the quote.
05How are certified translations delivered?
Certified translations that must be issued in written form are delivered physically. Collection in Zagreb and delivery by post or courier can be arranged; a digital copy does not replace the legally required written form.
06How is the translation price calculated?
Each price is determined individually after the document has been reviewed, taking account of the language pair, volume and type of text, certification, deadline and any other requirements. A certified-translation quote may be based on Croatia’s Ordinance on Permanent Court Interpreters. The Ordinance calculates written translations by a standard line of 50 characters, with one standard page of 30 lines—or 1,500 characters—as the minimum unit.
