Instructions and manuals

Clear translations for the safe and correct use of products.

Technical documentation must remain clear to the reader while accurately conveying functions, warnings, measurements, component names and references. Before work begins, we confirm the format, intended use, terminology sources and exact document version.

01

Terminology control

Key terms, component names, commands and safety language remain consistent throughout the document and across related files.

02

Preserved structure

Headings, numbering, tables, warnings, figure labels and cross-references are translated so the result can be reliably compared with the source.

03

Version control

We identify the source document’s reference and date and work from the final version so the translation matches the material being submitted or published.

Public procurement

Certified translations for public procurement procedures in Croatia

Croatia’s Public Procurement Act states that a tender is prepared in Croatian and Latin script unless the procurement documents provide otherwise. Certification is not automatically required for every foreign-language document: the specific procurement documents and any applicable special rules control. Where a certified translation is required, we prepare a court-interpreter translation for the defined document set and deadline.

  1. 01

    Check the contracting authority’s instructions

Identify the permitted language, any certification requirement, submission format and deadline. If an instruction is unclear, request clarification through the communication channel provided for the procedure before ordering the translation.

  2. 02

    Translate the complete evidence set

We translate technical specifications, catalogues, manuals, manufacturer declarations, certificates, official records, references and supporting documents that must align with the tender.

  3. 03

    Keep data consistent

Model references, catalogue numbers, standards, units, names of bidders and manufacturers, and cross-references between the bill of quantities, technical material and evidence are checked carefully.

  4. 04

    Plan around the tender deadline

Work is scheduled against the submission deadline. Certification is prepared from the final document version; later amendments may require a revised translation or new certification.

Documents translated

From user instructions to technical tender appendices.

Send one document or a complete related set. For repeat products and revised editions, an existing glossary, approved translations and a list of mandatory product terms can improve consistency and efficiency.

Our process

A controlled workflow from source document to final delivery.

  1. 01

    Send the files and context

Upload the final source files and specify the audience, language, format and deadline, together with any existing terminology or contracting-authority instructions.

  2. 02

    Approve the scope and quote

We confirm the documents and versions, type of translation, certification if required, deadline, price and delivery method before work begins.

  3. 03

    Translation and final review

Terminology, figures, references, tables and cross-references are checked before delivery in the agreed format, with a certified copy where ordered.

Practical information

Frequently asked questions about manuals and instructions.

01Which file formats can I send?

For a quote, you may send PDF or DOCX files, clear scans or photographs. If you need an editable deliverable or preservation of complex formatting, include the original working file where available.

02Can you preserve the layout, tables and numbering?

Yes. The agreed scope can include the document structure, tables, warnings, labels and numbering. Complex desktop publishing or work in a specialist authoring tool is quoted separately after file review.

03Must a translation of instructions be certified?

Not always. Professional translation is often sufficient for instructions intended for the market or end user, while an authority, contracting authority or tender document may require a certified translation by a court interpreter. We check the stated requirement before quoting.

04What should I send for a Croatian public procurement procedure?

Send the final documents to be translated, the relevant tender provisions on language and certification, the procedure name, submission deadline and a document checklist. This allows us to confirm the exact scope and a realistic delivery date.

05Can you update only the changed parts of a new version?

Yes, where the old and new versions can be compared and the previous translation is supplied. We first determine what can be reused safely and what must be translated and reviewed again.

06How is the translation price calculated?

Each price is determined individually after the document has been reviewed, taking account of the language pair, volume and type of text, certification, deadline and any other requirements. A certified-translation quote may be based on Croatia’s Ordinance on Permanent Court Interpreters. The Ordinance calculates written translations by a standard line of 50 characters, with one standard page of 30 lines—or 1,500 characters—as the minimum unit.
